Apple News:Apple veteran Bill Atkinson talks about the early days of Mac

Apple veteran Bill Atkinson talks about the early days of Mac: "I’m a sucker for hearing ex-Apple employees talk about the company’s early days. In particular, it’s fascinating to find out more about the development of innovations like MacPaint and the Mac graphical interface, as well as speculate over who was really responsible for the Macintosh’s creation."
Bill's the man, the original man, one man behind the Woz.

Apple News:Why the iPad has never shipped with a calculator app

Why the iPad has never shipped with a calculator app: "‘It is actually a funny story,’ writes user Tangoshukudai. ‘When they were prototyping the iPad, they ported the iOS calc over, but it was just stretched to fit the screen. It was there all the way from the beginning of the prototypes and was just assumed by everyone at apple that it was going to be shipped that way."
A funny thing happened on the way to the forum...

Apple News:Nvidia unveils first Pascal graphics card, the monstrous Tesla P100 | Ars Technica

Nvidia unveils first Pascal graphics card, the monstrous Tesla P100 | Ars TechnicaThe first full-fat GPU based on Nvidia's all-new Pascal architecture is here. And while the Tesla P100 is aimed at professionals and deep learning systems rather than consumers, if consumer Pascal GPUs are anything like it—and there's a very good chance they will be—gamers and enthusiasts alike are going to see a monumental boost in performance.
Exciting for those of us who love to live in parallel.
