Apple News:Teardown reveals iPad Pro A9X sports dual-core CPU, 12-cluster GPU, built by TSMC

Teardown reveals iPad Pro A9X sports dual-core CPU, 12-cluster GPU, built by TSMC The A9X is also 40 percent larger than the A9 processor found in the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. That extra space has allowed Apple to double the number of GPU clusters, from 6 to 12.
My favorite adjective for describing GPU power increase is double. Unless of course, it's quadruple.

Apple News:Apple's 'iPhone 7 Plus' expected to pack 3GB of RAM into 'A10' CPU in late 2016

Apple's 'iPhone 7 Plus' expected to pack 3GB of RAM into 'A10' CPU in late 2016 Kuo's latest details from Apple suppliers were published in a research note Tuesday evening with KGI Securities, a copy of which was obtained by AppleInsider. In it, he revealed that while the 4.7-inch "iPhone 7" is expected to have the same 2 gigabytes of RAM as the iPhone 6s, the larger "iPhone 7 Plus" will add another gigabyte for even greater performance.
Yaba dabba doo.

Apple News:Apple’s iOS 9 to have ‘huge’ stability and optimization focus after years of feature additions | 9to5Mac

Apple’s iOS 9 to have ‘huge’ stability and optimization focus after years of feature additions | 9to5Mac: "It’s unclear whether this might be accomplished by limiting iOS 9 support to relatively recent devices. If the iPhone 5c, original iPad mini, and fifth-generation iPod touch are discontinued by the end of 2015, all of Apple’s ‘currently available’ iOS devices would be using 64-bit A7, A8, and A9 processors. This could simplify iOS development for both Apple and third-party app developers."
Our gift to you, for purchasing one of our devices, is to leave it with you in a useless state. Buy a new one!

: "Production by Samsung of the A9 chip destined for next year’s iPhones and iPads is underway, according to a report in Korea’s Electronic Times."
Weird how Samsung and Apple can't help but rule the world together. Also Samsung and Google.
