Apple News:Android vs. iOS: Do adoption figures mean anything?

Android vs. iOS: Do adoption figures mean anything? iOS 9 has been out for two days, and it’s already running on more than 20 percent of compatible devices, according to the latest data. In comparison, Google’s latest Android release, version 5.1 Lollipop, is running on just 5.1 percent of devices ten months after it made its public debut.
I guess one major difference between iOS 8 and Lollipop is that when I installed Lollipop on my Nexus7 it ran faster but when I installed iOS 8 on my iPad2, it became a useless brick. This has made me wary to install iOS9 on my new iPad Mini. I think a case could be made that the 20 years of Win32 dominance was largely due to how Microsoft handled upgrades on older hardware.

UPDATE: I'm pleased to report that iOS 9 is working great on my Retina iPad Mini.

Apple News:iPad mini 4 uses overclocked A8 processor faster than 2014 iPhones

iPad mini 4 uses overclocked A8 processor faster than 2014 iPhones The Mini 4's processor runs at about 1.5 gigahertz, just over the 1.4 gigahertz possible with Apple's 2014 iPhones, ArsTechnica noted. Geekbench testing shows that while the tablet is only marginally faster than the iPhone 6, and much slower than the iPad Air 2, it's also roughly 20 percent faster than the Mini 2 and 3, which each use an A7.

Apple News:Steve Jobs left Apple on his own, wasn't forced out, Wozniak says

Steve Jobs left Apple on his own, wasn't forced out, Wozniak says

"Steve Jobs wasn't pushed out of the company. He left," Wozniak wrote on Facebook. "After the Macintosh failure it's fair to assume that Jobs left out of his feeling of greatness, and embarrassment about not having achieved it."
And thus speaketh the Woz.

5 must-see events from TwitchCon | GamesBeat | Games | by Jeff Grubb

We’ve used HTC Vive. It’s incredible. We can’t wait to see more about it, but we also are interested to see how this works on Twitch. These games are inherently difficult to explain with words, but maybe livestreaming could help.
I have a theory that it might be awesome.
