Apple News:Apple Watch demand not enough for suppliers to break even | Cult of Mac

Apple Watch demand not enough for suppliers to break even | Cult of Mac: "Taiwan’s Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE) which makes the system-in-package case that contains Apple Watch’s array of sensors and chips, told investors during a conference call that it still hasn’t reached ‘break even volume’ of two million units per month."
I think the sales numbers can be deduced here.

Apple News:Review: 10 days with Windows 10 | VentureBeat | Business | by Emil Protalinski

Review: 10 days with Windows 10 | VentureBeat | Business | by Emil Protalinski: "Start: Works brilliantly. The Start menu is back and it’s better than ever. The best part is that you can customize it quite a bit (including by pinning not just apps but full-fledged programs as well), and frequently used options are right where they should be."
Welcome back, old friend, much maligned but really pretty good when you think about it. OLE2 COM+ forever!

Apple News:Opinion: A Mac’s longevity is its biggest unsung selling point | 9to5Mac

Opinion: A Mac’s longevity is its biggest unsung selling point | 9to5Mac: "Exterior resilience aside, the major reason for excellent Mac longevity has been a radical reduction in the number and nature of components inside modern Macs. Compare the inside of 2008’s first all-metal MacBook with 2015’s new all-metal 12″ Retina MacBook and you’ll see how a huge circuit board tied to two mechanical drives gave way to a candybar-sized logic board and exclusively chip-based storage. "
Clearly, every one of them a piece of art. Software signing of the operating system will means these computers will not be operational in 10 years. Unlike many other great machines which we can still appreciate in some form after half-a-century.
