Apple News:Computer History Museum | @CHM : Adobe Photoshop Source Code

Computer History Museum | @CHM : Adobe Photoshop Source Code: "Gradually the program, called ‘Display’, became more sophisticated. In the summer of 1988 they realized that it indeed could be a credible commercial product. They renamed it ‘Photoshop’ and began to search for a company to distribute it. About 200 copies of version 0.87 were bundled by slide scanner manufacturer Barneyscan as ‘Barneyscan XP’."

This is cool in such a nerdy nerdy way.

Apple News:Claims of Apple employees being tasked with "fake" projects debunked in new, extensive report

Claims of Apple employees being tasked with "fake" projects debunked in new, extensive report: "Apple is a secretive company, closely guarding projects under development and occasionally placing leaking divisions 'under lockdown,' but it does not, according to a new report, assign new employees to 'fake products' in order to gauge their trustworthiness as once reported."

Yes, let's waste money developing hardware and software we never intend to sell. And make a profit.

Apple News:The Cloud is for the Birds

I know everyone is enamored with "Apps in the Cloud", "Data in the Cloud", "Music in the Cloud".  Well, I'm on google docs trying to make a simple spreadsheet.  3 columns with 42 rows.  I want it in the cloud so I don't have to remember what device I put the document on.  Unfortunately, Google won't save my changes because the wifi connection I'm on is flakey or busy.  That's the cloud for you.  About as reliable as the weather.
