Apple News:Apple said 'no thanks' to cellular Newton PDA in the '90s

Apple said 'no thanks' to cellular Newton PDA in the '90s: "In an interview with Charlie Rose on Wednesday, Qualcomm CEO Paul Jacobs said Apple turned down an offer to incorporate the company's radio technology in the Newton PDA, a move that would have created a proto-iPhone smart device. "

This is an example of how it's not always best to be the first mover. Palm, which acquired BeOS, which no longer really exists, was definitely first. No argument there.
