Apple News:Apple quietly acquiring former Nortel patents from Rockstar Consortium

Apple quietly acquiring former Nortel patents from Rockstar Consortium: "An announcement on Tuesday from a Korean property rights regulator revealed that Apple has taken control of 1,024 patents and patent applications from the Rockstar Consortium, a bidding group led by the Cupertino company that won an auction for a package of Nortel patents in 2011."

If you were the most sued company on Earth, you'd want all the patents so that everyone would stop suing you. In theory, but we both know that's unlikely.

Apple News:Apple apparently kills Windows PC support in Safari 6.0

Apple apparently kills Windows PC support in Safari 6.0: "With the launch of Safari 6.0 for OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion and the release of a 6.0 update for existing Safari users on OS 10.7 Lion, Apple appears to have shelved efforts to continue developing Safari for Windows. "

I remember when Safari for Windows was announced. I was hoping it marked the return of YellowBox. Now, I could care less about running Cocoa on Windows. Cocoa runs plenty of places already.

Apple News:Samsung reportedly hits Apple with 20% price increase for iPhone, iPad chips

Samsung reportedly hits Apple with 20% price increase for iPhone, iPad chips
The person indicated that Samsung asked for a "significant price raise" for building chips such as the A6 chip found in the iPhone 5 and the A6X processor that powers the fourth-generation iPad."

We'd like to think that we can reduce the activities of an entity with one name to a single behavior. But the truth is, in a situation like this, winning (the lawsuit) might not really be winning.
